Doctoral Student Position in the field of Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden At the Microwave Electronics Laboratory at Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, we do research and development in the area of microwave electronics in the 1GHz-1 THz frequency range. The research spans from novel semiconductor material and devices, characterization methodology, circuit design, and system considerations.The majority of your working time is devoted to your own research studies. As a PhD student you are expected to develop your own ideas and communicate scientific results orally as well as in written form. In addition, the position will normally include 20% departmental work, mostly teaching duties.

Eligibility:
We seek a PhD student with a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics, preferably with knowledge in microwave electronics and semiconductor physics.
-Experience in WBG semiconductor processing would be an important merit.
-You should be a good team player and have an ability to take initiative The undergraduates are normally taught in Swedish, although the graduate level teaching is in English. Thus good language skills are required.
- Applicants who do not have Swedish as native language should be able to teach in Swedish after two years of employment.
