Oxford University The Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarship

Scholarship at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) offers the Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarship for a degree graduate or final-year student of CUHK at Oxford University, The Scholarships, tenable at the University of Oxford, are established with funds from the estate of the late Dr. Esther Yewpick Lee, whose family has had strong connections with and affection for both The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the University of Oxford.

One Scholarship for two to three years will be awarded to a degree graduate or final-year student of CUHK. Scholars may read for the Oxford BA in any of the final honour schools, or, if qualified by previous training, may be admitted to read for the advanced degrees of BCL, MLitt, MSc, MSt, MTh, MPhil or DPhil. However, candidates are advised to apply for programmes of at least two year’s duration in order to get the most benefit of studying at Oxford.

Eligibility:
-Applicants should be either final-year students in the academic year 2012/13 including both undergraduates and postgraduates of degree programmes, or graduates holding degrees awarded by CUHK
-Successful candidates must have outstanding academic records and have a respect for humanity, a curious mind, moral integrity and a spirit of adventure and reveal the potential to make a contribution to the well-being of the community
-Candidates must be under the age of 25 years on 1 October 2013.

British Council YCE Design and Fashion 2012 Awards

Scholarship at British Council offers Young Creative Entrepreneur Awards for entrepreneur in Design and Fashion Courses for International and UK Students, YCE Design and Fashion participants can be drawn from any of the following areas of the sectors.In September 2012 national winners will participate in a shared programme in the UK with valuable networking and idea exchange with their international and UK peers in the design and fashion sectors. The UK tour will run alongside London Design Festival and London Fashion Week industry events.

-Through their character, drive and abilities, demonstrate their potential to be a future leader of the sector in their country and a future partner for the UK

ESP Guitar Company Scholarship Deadline August 24th 2012

Scholarship at ESP Guitar Company, Musicians Institute’s Full Ride Scholarship awards 100% Tuition credit to one student entering an Associate Degree program or Certificate program in performance for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard Technology or Vocals. In order to be considered, applicants must first apply and be accepted to an A.A. or Certificate program in performance at Musicians Institute, beginning Fall 2012 or Spring 2013. Currently enrolled students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Accepted applicants may submit a video of their performance abilities through MI’s Full Ride Scholarship platform on Sonicbids.com (see directions below). Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of faculty judges and the top contestants will advance to a semi-final round open to public voting. After voting round, the final contestants (as determined by public voting and an additional review by judges) will travel to Los Angeles to compete on stage for a final judging panel. One student will be selected as the winner of the Full Ride Scholarship, additional scholarships valued at 50% Tuition Credit to an A.A. or Certificate program at MI will be awarded to the other finalists.
