PhD Scholarship in Netherlands for Indonesian Applicants

PhD Scholarship DIKTI Program 2013, The Scholarship Program is established by the Directorate of Human Resources of the Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE or DIKTI), and facilitated by Nuffic Neso Indonesia. The aim is to provide financial aid for Indonesian lecturers of state and private universities to enter doctorate degree programs in the Netherlands. Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of three years (36 months) by DIKTI, while the cost of the fourth year will be borne by the Dutch university.Directorat General for Higher Education in Indonesia (DIKTI) offers PhD Scholarship for Indonesian Lecturers who wish to Pursue Doctorate Degree Programs at State and Private Universities in Netherlands

Eligibility:
-Is currently a (candidate) lecturer of an Indonesian state or private university and has received a supporting letter from the home institution;
-Has received a valid unconditional Letter of Acceptance from a Dutch higher education institution;
-Should have a complete research proposal and a prospective advisor/sponsor at the Dutch higher education institution;
-Holds a master degree (or equivalent);
-Shows proficiency in the English language (IELTS score of at minimum 6.0 or IBT TOEFL 80);
-Should not be more than 50 years of age when they register their application;
-Married couples who are working in the same scientific field are not allowed to apply to the same university and/or receive supervision from the same promotor.
-All subject areas of research are accepted


Number of awards offered: 50 Scholarships are offered.
Tenure of award: It is applicable for 3years.
Value: Total offer is of €10,000.

Other Benefits: Additional aids are
-Living allowance: €1100/month (2012)
-Insurance: €500 per year
-Book allowance: €800 per year
-Dissertation allowance: €500 per year
-Settling in allowance: 1000 euro (one time only);
-International travel cost: 1 international return ticket;
-Writing dissertation allowance: 500 euro (one time only);
-Special program allowance: 500 EUR (one time only);
-Bench or tuition fees as charged by the Dutch HEI’s (at cost up to a maximum of 10,000 EUR).

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship

Canadian and International Students PhD Scholarship for Canadian and International Students in Social sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Health at Canadian Universities.The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Vanier CGS) was created to entice and maintain world-class doctorate learners and to identify North america as a global center of quality in research and higher learning. It is worth $50,000 per year for three years and is available to both North america and worldwide PhD learners learning at North america colleges.

Eligibility:
Both Canada and worldwide learners are qualified to be selected for a Vanier CGS.
To be regarded for a Vanier CGS, you must:
-be selected by only one Canada school, which must have obtained a Vanier CGS allocation; be looking for economical assistance to engage in your first doctorate stage (or mixed MA/PhD or MD/PhD);
-intend to engage in, in the summertime season term or the educational season following the statement of outcomes, full-time doctorate (or mixed MA/PhD or MD/PhD) analysis and analysis at the nominating university;
-have finished no more than 20 several weeks of doctorate analysis as of May 1, 2012 (see Notices below)
- have obtained a first-class regular, as established by your school, in each of the last two decades of full-time analysis or equivalent;
-and not have already obtained a doctoral-level scholarships or fellowship from CIHR, SSHRC or NSERC to perform or finish a doctorate stage (or mixed MA/PhD or MD/PhD).
