The degree runs in fast-track mode, covering all course work and industry placements over a 3 year period.The focus of the BIT is on the development and use of IT applications that offer solutions to real-world business problems. Students gain both technical and business knowledge by covering a broad range of subject areas in business and information technology.Drawing on this vast knowledge base, BIT graduates are well equipped to meet industry requirements for information technology specialists, particularly in management and leadership roles, and have the capacity to adapt to a variety of workplace conditions. Such qualities are highly sought after by employers.

Eligibility:
-VCE prerequisites:Units 3 & 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or at least 25 in any other English and a study score of at least 20 in Mathematics (any).
-2012 Round 1 Clearly-in ATAR: 80.35. As part of the entry process.
-All short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview.
-Please note that only current Year 12 students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia are eligible for entry into this program.
-Additionally, students who achieve an ATAR score of 95.00 and above may be eligible to receive a Vice-Chancellor’s scholarship exempting them from paying the student contribution amount.
-Applicants must also meet the prerequisites for the course.

For the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, no applications are required. Eligible students will be identified by the University and students who meet the selection criteria may be offered a scholarship.
