Scholarship For PhD student position in Political Science with specialization in Coalition research and Political economy at Umeå University, The department is pleased to announce a position as a PhD student starting September 15, 2012 or as agreed. The candidate will be working in a new research team comprising both young and senior researchers, based in Umeå.

The theme of the research is coalition research and political economy (in its broadest sense) in Europe. The project aims to explore government formation, government stability, capacity to act, responsiveness to the electorate and role in forming opinions, as well as exploring which effects voter opinions, the composition of parliament and government will have on the economic policy pursued. The PhD project will be carried out in one or more of the abovementioned research themes. Teaching may also be included.
