University of Birmingham offers Scholarships for Postgraduate UK/EU/International Students, Under the Block Grant Partnership, the AHRC have specified the number, and type of awards available from the University of Birmingham for each academic year. The 2013-2014 spread of available awards, alongside an explanation of the type of awards can be found below.

Value of Awards : A full award includes full payment of your course fees and a stipend payment, which is currently £13590 a year. You will also have access to apply for funding from the AHRC Research Training Support Grant to support study visits and overseas conference attendance. Your award will be for three years.

Eligibility:The following are eligible for AHRC funding:
-Home students (full award).
-EU students (fees only).
-EU students who have lived in the UK for at least three years directly preceding the start of the award (full award). -Overseas students who have have permanent leave to remain and have also lived in the UK for more than three years for purposes other than study (full award) The main criteria for consideration for an AHRC award is academic excellence.
