PhD Vice-Chancellor’s at University of Greenwich Deadline 13 July 2012, The purpose for this study was to explore the use of guidelines for pain management in nursing homes in one district and to develop strategies for implementation of the guidelines based on the evaluation of a pilot in a nursing home. -For the purpose of developing a survey questionnaire that can be applied across the sample of care homes in one county in England (Kent) who will examine the use of pain management guidelines. -To identify a care home that can act as a case study to evaluate the impact of the implementation of pain management guidelines. -To set the format on which a large-scale project implementation can be informed. -To perform up to date comprehensive review of the literature to establish the current theoretical perspectives

1 st Class or Upper 2 nd class Honours Bachelors Degree or Masters degree (UK or UK equivalent) in a relevant discipline For those whose first language is not English or if from a country where English is not the first language , a language proficiency score of at least IELTS 6.5 (in all elements of the test) or TOEFL 100 ibt (600 pbt) unless the degree above was taught in English and obtained in a majority English speaking country, e.g. UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
