The University of Queensland UQ Summer Research Scholarship Program

Scholarship At The University of Queensland program offers scholarships to students who are engaged in research projects over the summer vacation period (from mid-November to mid-February). This program provides students with the opportunity to work with a researcher in a formal research environment and discover what research is being undertaken in their field of interest at UQ. In addition, students who qualify for a scholarship will receive a stripend of $300 per week for the duration of their research (up to 10 weeks). Allocation of the scholarships is decided by the Faculty, School, Research Centre or Institute where the research is undertaken.

Eligibility:
The UQ Summer Research Program is open to undergraduate or masters by coursework students, who:
-Are currently enrolled at UQ, another Australian, or an international university
-Have completed at least two years of study; • are studying for a degree relevant to the research discipline
-Have a high level of academic achievement during their undergraduate degree
-Have the potential to and an interest in undertaking postgraduate study (masters or PhD)
-Are able to demonstrate a high level of English language proficiency; and
-Are eligible for a visa to visit Australia if from an international university.
