University of Cambridge offers Research Assistant Position in the Department of Psychiatry, A Research Assistant is required to support the Cambridge contribution to a UK multicentre Randomised Clinic Trail of a novel pharmacological treatment for patients experiencing a first episode of psychosis. The post will also look more widely at the research activity within the local NHS first-episode service (CAMEO) in which the trial is set. what it covers:Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance.

Eligibility:
The work involves assessment and follow-up of patients enrolled in the trial and appraisal of research activity in CAMEO. The post therefore requires excellent personal skills with patients, clinical staff and external organisations (including: CLAHRC, MHRN, CLRN), analytic abilities and effective communication to a wide range of personnel in addition to education to degree level. Previous experience of, or demonstrable interest in, clinical trials and/or research of mental health disorders would be an advantage.
