Australia’s leading integrated construction, mining and services company Thiess, in partnership with the Minerals Council of Australia, the national body representing Australia’s mining and minerals processing industry, invites students from across the country to apply for the Thiess/Minerals Council of Australia Women in Engineering Scholarship. The Thiess – MCA partnership is helping identify the next generation of talented female engineers. The strong numbers of applicants in previous years bodes well for achieving our goal of increasing the number of female engineers in our sector.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Women in Engineering Scholarship, you must be:
-Be currently enrolled in full-time study in an Engineering degree (Mining, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical etc)
-Be in the final 2 years of a Bachelor degree
-Have a GPA of 5 or more (or equivalent to 65% or more)

Scholarship for International Students:
Permanent Humanitarian Visa, Australian Permanent Resident, Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen and International students can apply for this scholarship.

What does it cover? The scholarship is open to all female undergraduate engineering students studying in Australia and provides $8000 per annum for the final two years of study. It aims to advance the role of women in the resources sector.
