Knight-Mozilla Fellowship 2014 for International Applicants in News Organizations

Knight Foundation and Mozilla are offering international fellowship for Open News Project in six news organizations around the world. The Knight-Mozilla Fellowship program is designed specifically to engage developers, hackers, engineers, technologists, data crunchers and other people who like to code and bring them into the newsroom as Fellows. The fellowship covers stipend of $60, 000, housing, childcare, health insurance, moving expenses, costs of required travel for fellowship activities. Application should be sent online by August 17, 2013.

To help offset cost of living in the News Partner location cities, the Fellowship also provides supplements for housing, childcare, health insurance, moving expenses, and helps pay for research/equipment and books. Research Assistant/Associate Position in Nonlinear Structural Dynamics at Department of Mechanical Engineering in University of Bristol, Following the award of a prestigious EPSRC programme grant on “Engineering Nonlinearity”, we are seeking to appoint two Research Assistants/Associates to conduct research on nonlinear structural dynamics.

These roles represent a unique opportunity to work on a large collaborative project addressing major challenges in identifying, modelling and controlling nonlinearity in engineering systems. The project is a consortium of world-leading dynamics researchers, led by the University of Bristol, in collaboration with the Universities of Cambridge, Sheffield, Southampton and Swansea.

You will be based in Bristol and joining a team of eight postdoctoral researchers working across the five Universities.
